If you're in Berlin and bored of all the clubs and bars on offer (really?!) then here's something a little out of the norm. I'm not talking about the Christmas markets (which you should of course also visit) but instead I want to tell you about a few little events at my favourite pop-up shop—Urbanara, which also just so happens to be run by my sister.
So what is it? Urbanara sells lovely interior products online but recently they opened up a very cute little pop-up shop on Torstrasse and have started running evening events out of it—everything from live bands to wine-tasting to Kimchi making classes with Fraulein Kimchi and a 6 course dinner with the Thai & Techno folk. Pretty fun, right?! The other week we sat surrounded by cushions and warm blankets listening to Wayne Snow with a (free) glass of wine. It was a great experience.
Check out the events here (English version) and get in touch with the fine folks running the fun or head down to the shop to see what's going on. Maybe I'll see you there! Here's a few interior-inspired words to get you in the mood.
Note: The shop has now popped down but you can still see their stuff at urbanara.com
Urbanara Wohnzimmer pop-up shop, Torstrasse 66. Nearest U-bahn - Rosa-Luxembourg Platz.

It's been said many a time before - Germans, they like their rules. It might be a stereotype, but after you've been shouted at one too many times for cycling on the pavement or crossing the street when you shouldn't be you realise that there's some basis to the stereotype.
